See what's on the menu for Smyrna Food Truck Tuesday, July 31. Parking is available at Community Bank of the South, Covenant Christian School and Smyrna Presbyterian Church. After 6:30 p.m. food truck fans can park at the Behavioral Care Center next to Taylor Brawner Park at 3188 Atlanta Road as long as they don’t park in staff spaces or parallel along the driveway. Because parking is limited walking is encouraged.

Most people agree that Smyrna’s inaugural Food Truck Tuesday was a success. Hundreds turned out to sample tasty eats from the likes of Happy Belly, Ibiza Bites and more. Smyrna Mayor Max Bacon called it “the best tie-breaking vote I ever made.” Patch compiled a list of tips for getting the most out of Smyrna Food Truck Tuesday. Walk if you live nearby. Parking at Taylor Brawner Park is limited, so get some exercise before dinner by walking to the event. Bring chairs. There is some seating at Taylor Brawner Park under the pavilion and at benches stationed along the walking trail, but bringing folding chairs or a picnic blanket from home is a good idea. By all measures the first Smyrna Food Truck Tuesday was a smashing success. Smyrna got a break from a giant thunderstorm just in time for the start of the event and it didn't pick up again till all the diners and trucks had packed up and headed out. Smyrna Mayor Max Bacon called it "the best tie-breaking vote I ever made. Hundreds of people turned out to eat, some from as far away as Kennesaw. Smyrna-Vinings Patch wants to know, which food trucks were your favorite. Were you wowed by Happy Belly's burgers? Did Ibiza Bites' Darn Churasca knock your socks off?
