Take advantage of the free business expo right here in Smyrna-Vinings.
More than 150 local businesses will showcase their products and services at the Cobb Business-to-Business Expo this Thursday, May 16. The free event that attracted more than 1,600 attendees will start at 3 p.m. at the Cobb Galleria Centre right here in the Smyrna-Vinings area. Exhibitors include Keep it in Cobb, which encourages residents to buy local, and business associations from across the county including the Vinings Business Association and the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. Former Atlanta Braves player Javy Lopez will also make an appearance at this year's expo, and sign autographs in the LOUD Security Systems booth. The Vinings Business Association (VBA) has announced five finalists for its 2012 Vinings Business of the Year award. The 5 finalists are: “We are happy to recognize five Vinings area organizations for their commitment to the Vinings community and for their continued presence," VBA Chair Glenn Christian said. "They have contributed to the overall definition of our community and we congratulate them on their achievements.” Each of the finalists will be invited to speak at the Dec. 4 luncheon held at Social Vinings to share some of their secrets on how they have succeeded. More than 50 area businesses offer samples and information at two Smyrna-Vinings business expos today.
There are two chances to network and learn about Smyrna-Vinings businesses today. The Vinings Business Association is hosting its annual business expo from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Marriott Courtyard Vinings across from the QuikTrip. More than 30 businesses from the Smyrna-Vinings area are participating in this year’s event. VBA will be giving away door prizes including Vinings Jubilee gift cards and gift certificates to area restaurants. Admission and parking are free.
