Owner Sandra Campbell is planning a new Mexican restaurant and sports bar concept for the space formerly home to El Ciclon Mexican Restaurant.
Earlier this year Smyrna-Vinings Patch highlighted the building formerly home to El Ciclon Mexican Restaurant at 2731 South Cobb Drive in a Visions for Vacancies feature. Now in July the building has a new owner and a new look. Sandra Campbell told Smyrna-Vinings Patch she purchased the building with plans to open an authentic Mexican restaurant called La Pantera later this month. “It’s a restaurant and sports bar,” she said. “We’ll have flat screen TVs, authentic Mexican food and a DJ on weekends. Everything is new—state-of-the-art. It’s beautiful inside with authentic Mexican architecture.” Campbell is no stranger to the restaurant industry.
