Whitefield Wolfpack Lights Up the Knights
Whitefield Academy's varsity basketball team defeated Saint Francis High School Wednesday. They face Saint Thomas Aquinas Saturday at Marietta High School.
Whitefield Academy left no doubt Wednesday night they have their sights clearly set on extending their season for three more games. Before a full house the Wolfpack basketball team in the second round of the state tournament trounced the Knights from Saint Francis High School 72 to 30. The first half was a hotly contested round as the both teams battled back and forth before the Pack pulled ahead in the last two minutes to take a 10-point lead into the locker with Kenny Gaines hitting a three at the buzzer.
