Thousands Attend Business Expo at Cobb Galleria

More than 150 local businesses showcased their products and services Thursday at the Cobb Chamber Business-to-Business Expo.

More than 150 local businesses had to opportunity to showcase their products and services Thursday at the Cobb Chamber Business-to-Business Expo. The free event attracted thousands of attendees at the Cobb Galleria Centre right here in the Smyrna-Vinings area. Cobb Chamber Chairman Greg Morgan said this year's expo has been the largest one the chamber has ever held. Exhibitors included Keep it in Cobb, which encourages residents to buy local, and business associations from across the county.

Meet Patch at Today’s Cobb Business Expo

You can get some free Patch goodies and speak to several Patch staff members at Booth 720 of the Cobb Business-to-Business Expo. The event at the Cobb Galleria Centre will run from 3 to 7 p.m.

There will be more than 150 local businesses with booths at today’s Cobb Business-to-Business Expo, and Patch will be one of them. Patch serves 46 communities in Georgia, with eight sites in Cobb County alone. Several Patch editors and sales staff who serve Cobb as well other metro Atlanta communities will be at booth 720 throughout the event at the Cobb Galleria Centre. The expo runs from 3 to 7 p.m. and attendance is free. Smyrna-Vinings Businesses Showcase at Cobb Expo

Take advantage of the free business expo right here in Smyrna-Vinings.

More than 150 local businesses will showcase their products and services at the Cobb Business-to-Business Expo this Thursday, May 16. The free event that attracted more than 1,600 attendees will start at 3 p.m. at the Cobb Galleria Centre right here in the Smyrna-Vinings area. Exhibitors include Keep it in Cobb, which encourages residents to buy local, and business associations from across the county including the Vinings Business Association and the Cobb Chamber of Commerce. Former Atlanta Braves player Javy Lopez will also make an appearance at this year's expo, and sign autographs in the LOUD Security Systems booth. Art Show at Cobb Galleria in Smyrna-Vinings

Local stained glass guitar artist and the owner of Exquisite Custom Guitar Art, Paul Heller, will join ranks with 240 other master craft artisans for the American Craft Council's 23nd annual Atlanta Show in March.

Career Expo at Cobb Galleria Centre

The expo will feature a number of employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers.

The Georgia Department of Labor’s (GDOL) will assist Diversity Hiring with a career expo in Cobb County Wednesday, Jan. 23. The expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cobb Galleria Centre, located at Two Galleria Parkway near Marietta. The expo will feature a number of employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. The employers will be hiring or discussing present and future employment opportunities, while other organizations will provide educational and other resources. Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings. The High Museum of Art's "Picasso to Warhol" exhibition continues through April 29, 2012. The display -- on loan from the The Museum of Modern Art in New York City -- features more than 100 works from 14 modern artists including Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol. Cobb Galleria Festival of Trees Raising Funds for Local Charities

The Embassy Suites Hotel at the Atlanta Galleria continues the holiday tradition in began in 2010.

Celebrating our men and women in uniform

Healthcare Institute for Neuro-Recovery and Innovation sponsored luncheon on Thursday salutes Georgia nonprofits serving our military, too.

As the 10th anniversary of 9/11 draws near, one nonprofit takes the time to reflect on the tragedy and honor America’s military men and women at the Celebrating Service and Sacrifice 10 Years After 9/11 luncheon. The luncheon takes place Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the Cobb Galleria Centre. It is hosted by the Healthcare Institute for Neuro-Recovery and Innovation (HINRI), a Georgia nonprofit that is dedicated to accelerating the development of organizations that are advancing neuroscience and regenerative medicine in the state. Atlanta's real estate recovery 'puzzling' says chief economist

Lawrence Yun of the National Association of Realtors addressed housing issues at the Southeast's largest real estate showcase at the Cobb Galleria.

Lawrence Yun, chief economist for the National Association of Realtors, shared mixed reviews for Atlanta’s real estate market during his keynote address at the 11th Annual Showcase. Yun addressed several hundred Realtors at the Southeast’s largest real estate trade show, Thursday, at the Cobb Galleria Centre. Compared to other markets, Atlanta hasn’t seen recovery yet, Yun said. “This is puzzling,” he said. “It is the Southern states that always zoom, I mean really advance much faster than the rest of the country when recovering from a recession.
