Meals on Wheels Needs Volunteers

Help seniors by bringing warm meals and a smile each day.

The Cobb Meals on Wheels program is in need of residents to deliver meals to homebound seniors. If you have time to volunteer as a Meals on Wheels driver, or if you belong to an organization or business that would like to "Adopt-a-Route," call Volunteer Services at 770-528-5381. One local organization that has adopted a Meals on Wheels route is the Smyrna Golden "K" Kiwanis Club.  The program brings homebound and frail seniors a hot meal on a daily basis. Senior Services staff prepares more than 250 meals to be delivered each day. Volunteers make sure that not only a hot, nutritious meal is served, but also that each client feels special with personal visits.
