Five Smyrna-Vinings Meetups You Need to Be Aware Of

Here are five Meetups happening in Smyrna and Vinings in the next few days that you should be aware of!

1. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (Vinings Edition) will be hiking up Kennesaw Mountain on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 9 a.m. It might be tough getting all the way to the top, but with your newfound friends supporting you, it should be a bit easier!

2. Secrets Factory Game Night will be bringing together board game enthusiasts for its Thursday Open Gaming Night Road Show at the Smyrna IHOP at 5131 South Cobb Dr. SE on Aug. 22 at 6 p.m. Bring your own favorite board game or see what the group has to offer by playing some classics with fellow enthusiasts!

3. NW Atlanta Weekend Movie Watchers will attend a matinee of "Lee Daniels' The Butler" at the AMC Parkway Pointe 15 cinema on Saturday, Aug. 24 at 1 p.m. Tickets for the movie are $9.75.

4. Smyrna Social Jogging will be pounding the pavement around the Smyrna Community Center at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 25 at 7 p.m. as part of their Sunday Evening Jog. There is a roughly one-mile course laid out for those coming to the event. Don't forget to socialize while having your jog! If you need to walk a bit to hold a conversation, that's okay.

5. NW ATL Weekend Young (20s and 30s) Activity Seekers may run into some of the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun ladies as they too will be on Kennesaw Mountain at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24. This will be a six-mile, three-hour fleet feet hike around the Civil War battlefield, so bring your comfy shoes and a big bottle of water!
