Smyrna Arbor Day Festival

Please join us in celebrating Georgia Arbor Day!  Smyrna's 2nd Arbor Day Festival will be held on February 22 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Smyrna Community Center. The event hosted by Keep Smyrna Beautiful and the Smyrna Tree Board is free to the public with limited space. The festival will begin with a "Homeowners Tree Care" talk from Robert Brettschneider.  He is Smyrna's own City Arborist from Boutte Trees. The event will continue at 11a.m. with the children's program  "A Tree-rific Celebration: Georgia Arbor Day with Trees Atlanta."  The program will start with some "tree yoga" and then will focus on why trees are important and the history of Arbor Day.  Then the kids will do a special Arbor Day art project with the education/outreach staff from Trees Atlanta.

Refreshments will be served at noon.

Register for this event by calling 770-431-2863 or email Ann Kirk at akirk@smyrnaga.gov or Kim Brinson at kim.brinson@gmail.com, and provide your name, phone number and number of people that will be coming. Space is limited.
