Former NBA star Allen Iverson, accused by his ex-wife of abducting their children, was spotted Monday at the Sheraton Suites Galleria next to Cumberland Mall.
Hours after TMZ broke the story, 11Alive spoke to the former Philadelphia 76ers guard as he walked his kids to his Maybach.
"They say I stole my kids?" Iverson asked 11Alive's Jeff Hullinger. "If that's what you believe and people think I'm crazy enough to do, then so be it."
In court documents obtained by TMZ, Tawanna Iverson said she let her ex-husband take their five children on a short vacation to Charlotte on May 22. She has sole legal and primary custody of the children, who range from ages 3 to 16, according to TMZ.
Allen Iverson was supposed to return the children to his ex-wife on May 26, but did not, according to TMZ. They set up a June 4 exchange at a Target, but Allen Iverson was a no-show.
Tawanna Iverson wants the court to intervene.
